Things to Know Before the D3 Basketball Stretch Run – Episode 134

It’s not quite time to buckle up for the stretch run of this Division III basketball season but it is a good time to get ready for it. To do that, we run through some important things to know before the stretch run heats up and eyes start turning to the tournament picture.

We start with the basics like how teams get in, how teams are seeded and how the bracket is arranged. We then look at the schedule for this season’s men’s basketball tournament and how the combined championship results in some changes to the normal tournament schedule. But before we get to the tournament there are plenty of games left to account for in NPI and that means understanding some fundamentals about NPI and how it works.
