Welcome to the new D3Datacast.com!

We had a great time producing our first season of the D3 Datacast on YouTube throughout the 2022-2023 NCAA Division III basketball season. We had such a great time, in fact, we are proud to announce the show has been renewed for a second season!

Season two begins now that we are in the offseason and with it will come some changes. Some of those changes are still in the works but the first which we can unveil is the new D3Datacast.com. Our YouTube channel will continue to be the place to find all our shows but each new episode will also get a post on this site.

The goal of this site is to create a general gathering place for everything under the D3 Datacast umbrella. Going forward, D3Datacast.com will be the new primary home for Division III men’s basketball efficiency ratings, and men’s and women’s regional ranking data beginning in the 2023-2024 season. That data will also continue to be found on Matt’s old site to make sure any legacy links in various corners of the D3 internet are served.

Having this site will also give us the space to create additional written content that may be of interest to our audience. Sometimes the video/podcast format is right and sometimes a written blog posts works better. This site will allow us to produce content in the format that works best for the subject and have it available to any Division III basketball fan regardless of whether or not they are on a particular social media platform.

Don’t worry, this site won’t take away from our presence on Twitter and Facebook. We look forward to continuing to be active members of the #d3hoops community on social media, though you may see some things presented in short form there worked out in greater detail in a blog post here. Again, it’s all about having the right outlet and format for the content we want to create.

We look forward to announcing some other things we have been working on in the months to come. For now, enjoy the offseason and know that we are working to make the D3 Datacast the best it can be. We are grateful for the support we received as we got the show off the ground last year and the feedback so many of you have provided along the way. May our next steps be even better than our first.
